Note: Some of this is obvious, but you never know who’s reading and what their exposure is. If there’s anything we missed or got wrong, let us know in comments.

General: Pru is on the phone attempting to obtain records about her parents. As she argues, she remembers how they imposed conformity on her growing up. She hangs up the phone, and goes to smoke on the roof, where she encounters an alien.

  • The image in the upper right (which Pru’s pose is imitating) is Francisco Goya’s c. 1799 print titled “The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters.”
  • For what it’s worth, Pru is wearing the same gridded pants she wore in the first two prelude issues – also seen on the cover of Code Pru #2.

  • Pru’s parents (Annabelle and Alabaster Slapweather) were first mentioned in P3 of CP#6.
  • “Stroke” is the British word for what American’s call “slash.”
  • “Havin’ me some fun tonight” is lyric from the Little Richard song Long Tall Sally. It appears to have been used ironically here.
